メキシコにある陶器の町トナラで1980年代に作られた、女性の顔をモチーフにした陶器の貯金箱です。
トナラの焼き物はメノウ石で磨くことで作れ出される独特のツヤ、 磨き上げるための丸みのある造形と絵付けが特徴です。
古いトナラ焼きならではの質感と色味、筆を使った繊細な絵付けが魅力です。
イームズのトイフィルム『Day of The Dead』でも同様のものが登場しているところが見られます。
